I. Wounded for us
- "He was wounded for our transgressions"
- one who was pierced (Zechariah 12:10)
- the wounds of Christ were for us
- the wounds of Christ were prophesied (Zechariah 13:6)
- the wounds of Christ were in God's plan for our salvation
- Christ is our substitute; He took our place
II. Bruised for us
- "He was bruised for our iniquities"
- bruises from crown of thorns
- Why Christ was bruise?
- for our transgressions
- how serious our sins
- how wonderful His love
III. Peace for us
- "Chastisement of our peace was upon Him"
- peace was made for us at the cross
- we have peace with God through faith in Christ (Romans 5:1)
